This is a photo, named Eleanor, by Harry Callahan. It was unlike what all I’ve seen from this time in the sense that it is bright white for the most part. Makes it hard to see that her hands are above her head. At first I thought she was wearing a hat. I also didn’t know it was female until I saw the name. A photo of just the shadows and details of the face. Must have had a very bright flash, and was shot right above her. I love that the shadows are practically the whole picture. A photo that looks like all space around her eyes but it is actually filled with her body. Gives me a feeling of calm although it is all bright which doesn’t usually give me that feeling.
