Photo Analysis
- Feelings/mood- What are you trying to communicate in your photographs?
The feeling I got, and hopefully portrayed in my photos, was adventurous. I'm really scared of heights but always wanted to take a picture of looking down from on top of the tower! - Subject placement- What areas of the images are important to you?
I really loved the shadow lines along with bridge. And also the light coming through the middle of the other bridge. And so love the start filling the frame then getting smaller from the distance. - Multilayered- Describe the multi layers of meaning in your photographs.
Again, sense of adventure, going out and doing something, going somewhere new, yet also a sense of peace of the woods. - Depth of field- If parts of the image are out of focus why did you choose to photograph those areas out of focus?
I used depth of field on the flowers to make the flowers stand out rather than the surroundings they were in. - Light- What light sources did you use to photograph your images this week. (natural, window, outdoor, or flash) If you used your flash explain how the artificial light was a better choice than natural light.
Natural light source gave me the perfect light for the shadows and sunlight shining through the bridge. - Improvement- What would you do to improve your photographs if you were to re-shoot them?
What I want to succeed at is doing the HDR in Photoshop. I read, and was told, that +2 and -2 gives more of a contrast to work with to make it better. But they still start off way fake looking. Its time to figure out the HDR setting on the actual camera and see if that will work for me. As soon as it's bright again, I'm going to go out and try as the sunny days gave me great shadows and sunbeams!
